History
The Sanmartin was born in 1981 by the initiative and conviction of its founder members, Luis da Cunha and his wife Maria Adelaide Pereira Gens.
The name of our company, "Sanmartin," was born of the combination of two factors: São Martinho de Anta (Trás-os-Montes) is the home village of Luis Lemos located at the north of Portugal and the Boulevard de Fauborg Saint_Martin is the name of a famous street known by international fashion.
The initial area of 300m2 located in Rua Damião de Gois becomes small for the proper functioning of the firm, after only 5 years. The change is made to a warehouse of 1000m2 located on Rua da Constituição in Porto, where the company is maintained until the end of the 90s. In 2000 it is imperative to find a more spacious warehouse with ease of parking for clients and suppliers, this place where Sanmartin is currently serving - Gondim, Maia.
